Patrick Doyle,Sr. is an Irish mob boss. He is the father of Patrick "Paddy" Doyle and biological grandfather of Maura Isles and Colin Doyle.
He appears in "Partners in Crime", the fourth season summer finale of Rizzoli & Isles, when he is paroled from prison. Although Patrick wanted Maura dead from birth, Paddy persuades Maura, as his nearest unimprisoned relative, to pick him up from prison and help him adjust to life on the outside.
He is played by Boston-bred veteran actor Richard Herd.
